They release policy and it stinks – Broadcasting

Apart from the fact that the policy stinks, I mean what the hell is a 1 page policy?

They are so seriously taking the piss out of NZ, that all ballot papers should have the “No Confidence” option. I mean I seriously think that their lead in the polls is as much a backlash against Labour, and if you seriously believe that 1 page PDF summary is a policy for which to base an informed opinion on, then you are not an informed voter and get what you deserve.

Back to the policy.

“Television New Zealand should be released from its charter obligations and have to compete for the associated funding with all other broadcasters, National Party broadcasting spokesman Jonathan Coleman said.”

Short hand, they are setting TVNZ up for sale in their second term, and the charter that currently gets Kiwi faces and stories on the box, will be gone.

It’s a feeble and quite frankly condescending policy statement that should be condemned. It will of course be championed by the right who don’t want to pay for anything.
